Are there membership fees?

No. As an artist or Gallery you’ll be required to pay a commission only when artwork is sold.

What is the commission structure?

Artists Represented by a gallery will be paid their typical 50% commission. The remaining 50% will be paid to the partner gallery representing the artist with a small fee being paid to monalisa.com.

Artist witout gallery repersentation - As the artist, you'll recieve 80% of each sale of your artwork. Monalisa.com automatically deducts 20% of each sale.

Do you work with my gallery?

Yes. We built monalisa.com in an effort to increase exposure and success for both artists and galleries. If you're represented by a gallery, please let us know. MonaLisa will provide galleries with a wealth of powerful tools that will enable them to connect with high quality artists, and manage their business more effectively.

How are payments made for my artwork?

Customers from around the world will have the opportunity to pay for your artwork using all major credit cards. All transactions are securely processed by monalisa.com or a partner gallery.

How will I be paid as an Artist?

Once we can confirm that your artwork has been delivered to the customer, monalisa.com will then send payment via check, ACH, or Paypal to your account, whichever you prefer.

How does shipping work?

As an artist or gallery, you will determine the shipping fees for each individual piece of artwork. These fees will be charged to the customer. Shipping is the responsibility of the artist or gallery. Once an order is processed by monalisa.com, you'll be notified by email and will receive the necessary shipping details. Don’t worry, we are here to help. Monalisa.com can provide detailed instructions on how to ship artwork, and may provide the necessary packaging materials.

Where is my artwork stored?

All artwork is kept and stored by the artist or gallery.

Can I list artwork that is currently in a gallery?

Yes. Please contact us first with the name of the gallery. Artwork in a gallery must be approved by both monalisa.com and the gallery before it may be listed on the site.

Who manages my account?

As an artist or gallery, you will be responsible for managing your own account. Complete control will be in your hands. You will have the opportunity to upload images, write descriptions, add video, audio, interact with clients, and other useful information. The more involved you are, the more successful you will be. We are here to help.

Who can register?

We are currently inviting a select group of artists and galleries to participate in our pre-launch. Monalisa.com is curated by a group of artists, collectors, and gallery owners. Each entry must be approved by the current curators. Quality of work is of the utmost importance.
